This website has numerous examples of our music. For example, you should have been greeted on the home page with a fanfare of trumpets. More importantly, each of the various pieces in the music catalogue is provided with an opportunity to play extracts of the work. They are either real performances or computer generated simulations and last for three to five minutes.  We hope they will give you some indication of the piece’s potential.  Unless you overide the Windows XP software service pack 2 software as described below,  they won’t work.  This is because the site uses ActiveX files to launch the music from your media player, which pack 2 detects and prevents.

The best and easiest option is to make https:\\www.music.co.uk  a trusted site. If you don’t know how, click on the navigation button to your left entitled Trusted Sites

If you want to hear just one piece of music  and don’t want to make us a trusted site , go to the page containing it and follow the instructions given below .If you are using Windows XP software and its Service Pack 2, your explorer information bar will have the message:

   “To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this file from showing active content that will access your computer.

          - just above the website top boundary

 To overide this block and enable the music on one page to be heard, click on options and choose

“Allow blocked content”

You will then receive the message;

“Allowing active content such as script and activeX controls can be useful but active control may also harm your computer. Are you sure you want to let this file run active content:”

To enable the music, click “Yes”- if all has gone well,  clicking on the quaver sign will now work.The screen may fill with your media player and when the music is finished you can return to the Norvik page by clicking on the Windows back button in the usual way.  However you will need to repeat this for each page that you open. If you want to hear several pages the simplest way to do so is to make this site a trusted site.
