Why a  saxophonist on a wind quintet course?  Well apart from the odd evening sax. session that he usually organises for the multi-instrumentalists who are amongst the regulars and his propensity to plays Irish laments on his soprano at the last night party,  he has an in-depth knowledge of the chamber repertoire and an incredible ability to energise any group to achieve performances that surprise them.
